Here is the script:

Loosecubes : a more intelligent way to work ?

Chelsea Rustrum is an internet marketing professional. She runs a small business from home. But day to day it can be lonely.

CR: “I’m an extravert. I need to be around people”

So she tapped into Loosecubes, an office sharing portal that helps people to find and rent spaces to work in, anywhere in the world.

CR: “I have been co-working for the last 3 or 4 years and I found it to be a completely magical experience”

Campbell McKellar is CEO of the New York based start-up.

CMK: “I really saw an opportunity to provide a place to work for entrepreneurs, independents and travelers”

When you log in to the site, you search for city, a space and then request a reservation. The company e-mails you back if the space is available within 30 minutes to an hour. The rental charge for a cube ranges from 15 to 35 dollars an day, to 150 to 300 dollars a month.

Today, Rustrum is dropping in at the PariSoma innovation loft in San Francisco, a place where internet  professionals go to meet and share ideas.

McKellar believes that sharing spaces like these are the future of work, it gives people with like interests the opportunity to meet up.

CMK: “They’ve realized it boost activity in terms of meeting people to collaborate with or to start business with”

McKellar adds that sharing a workspace is also eco-friendly.

CMK: “If we can better occupy already heated, cooled and cleaned spaces, if we can bring people into a room that’s already been lit everyday then the lights are off somewhere else”

Right now, Loosecubes is still in the naissance stages of growth, but that doesn’t mean they are not global. You can rent out a workplace in more than 500 cities in over 60 countries.

CMK: “There is almost 1200 individual global locations. There is over 300 in New York City. So there are more Loosecubes locations than Starbucks in New York right now”

And for Chelsea Rustrum it beats working at a coffee shop or at home.

CR: “I feel better about my work and what I’m doing and the possibilities of what I can do in the future”
